This game was developed for the client, Rebecca Driscoll of “Cancer Help Desk,” a nonprofit that provides information to patients diagnosed with cancer to help guide their treatment.

Cancer Trials and Tribulations is a game about lung cancer and offers the player several possible options that they can choose to seek treatment for. The patient navigates through the game as well as the cancer diagnosis and learns healthy ways to advocate for themselves and seek out ways to navigate the treatment process. This realism-stylised game is a single-player game that creates an outlet for processing the diagnosis for many patients. In the game, you follow a character recently diagnosed with lung cancer and see the kinds of struggles the person has to grapple with.

The goal is to educate people about cancer, encourage second options, spread awareness of vital markers, tumor testing, and consideration of clinical trials. The game can be found on Fortnite for Unreal Editor. Fortnite GG
